Public talks
Date: 26 Oct 2017 10:30 - 11:30

Venue: Universidade do Algarve - Campus de Gambelas  |  City: Faro, Portugal

The National Geographic Society gives grants in the fields of exploration, scientific research, conservation, education, and storytelling. In May 2017 we announced an increased investment in science, education, and storytelling through our 127-year-old grant program and we are actively encouraging applications from around the world, especially from people at the beggining of their careers, but also more senior researchers in specific areas.

Our goal is to push the boundaries of science and exploration to further understanding of our planet and empower the global community to generate solutions for a healthier and more sustainable future. Our grant recipients are - and have always been - the heart and soul of what we do.

Come and hear Dr. Claire McNulty, Senior Director for the National Geographic Society in Europe, tell you more about the areas that we fund and give information about applying for a grant and the additional support that National Geographic Explorers can receive.
